First i would like to announce the winner of the banner from K-Liz.
anyone wanna guess? nah just kidding...the winner of a brand spankin new banner for you blog is: APRIL D!! congrats girl...please email us at scrapyourcrap@gmail.com to claim your banner. Whoo HOOOOO!!!

Dig 'em out girls. Dust them off if there old or Break 'em open if they are new. I don't know about you but I have inspiration books for DAAAAAYS. I buy them because I think they are great, get them home and chunk them in a pile to keep my other 203326585 company. So this week we are pulling them out and giving them some love.
Please make sure if you participate you tell us what book you got your inspiration from. Ya never know we just might and probably have that book. {deep sigh}

Queen Mica's:

The book I got inspiration from is called Simple Ideas published by SRM Press, Inc.

Liz's:

i have a huge bin filled with old mags. couldn't find an idea book, but there were plenty of ideas in that bin. i chose a layout created by Sarah Klemish on pg. 18 of Scrapbook Trends September 2006 issue.

Greta's:

Well since my inspiration books are hidden under my 2.7 million subscriptions I get (which i will not be renewing) I just picked the first magazine off the pile that i have yet to look through. This came from Simple Scrapbooks. July/August 08 issue pg. 30. layout by Celeste Smith. My journaling tag came from Karen's ca-yute etsy shoppe.

Lisa's
I have a ton a scrapbook magazines, but I found inspiration in a Saturn ad! Look at the paper flowers in the ad, I think they stole their ad from a scrapbook layout!

Dana's:

I have never tried paper-piecing patterns before. I got the inspo for this from the current Aug/Sept 2008 issue of Scrapbooks Etc.. I am not sure this is what they had in mind. My hubby says it looks like a 2nd grader's drawing! Oh, well I had a lot of fun and definitely tried something new and that's the point right?

Show us what you got girls...and remember to please leave a comment in the comments section with a link so we are able to find you easily!

Challenge #24: Scissor Sisters

Alright crap scrappers...are we ready? Sorry this one is late but I had to make the important announcement about the new chicas and the RAK of course...so let's get started shall we?

Remember those scissors we all had to have back in the day that we forgot about once the fabulous shaped paper hit the market? yep those are the one's i am talking about. Now i know the deco scissors are probably making some cringe like me but let's dust them off and work em girls. I am lazy, i like to just buy the shaped paper and be done with it. Not this week ..no laziness allowed...

Queen Michele's:

Introducing the new crap scrappers

I am thrilled to say I have enlisted 3 more crap scrappers to help me out with this crazy fun adventure Simone and I have been on since February. We will continue to be featuring queens 2 times a month like we have been doing. The only difference is you will now have more inspiration to look at when the challenges roll out... YAY!!!

Without further ado..here are your 3 new members of the SYC blog.

My name is Karen but I prefer to be called Liz. I live in TX with my hubby, two sons and our weird doggie. The men in my life have learned to deal with the fact that I have a serious paper addiction which started way back in 1998.

I love all things paper and love to apply paper to most things, like lampshades, wood items, clocks, etc. Anything I can find that looks ugly, I try to 're-do' it with paper. My current faves are October Afternoon and Thickers. Recently I've been trying to limit my stash by just purhcasing one monthly kit; it is actually working quite well and, honestly, I can't even use all that up!
You can also visit me here on my blog.

Hello! Hello! This is Dana D. from sunny So. Cal!
My maiden name Shutt- combined with my love of photography- has set me up with the nickname of Shutterz since I was a kid.
I am a small business owner who happily lives with my hubby Larry and our fur-child Harrison. (I also apologize in advance for any typos-as Harrison is currently sitting on my keyboard as I write this!)
I have been scrapping before it had an official name. When I was a kid, I could often be found in my room listening to Rick Springfield on my stereo while cutting pictures out of Teen Beat and TV guide to glue onto construction paper. Things haven't changed all too much!

Here’s what you need to know about me:
I love really bad reality TV.
I hate scary movies because I am a total scaredy cat.
I love nothing better then starting my day just as the sun rises, drinking a cup of Vanilla coffee out of my favorite mug, while snuggled up with my favorite scrap magazine.
I hate going to bed angry.
I love that I started a blog , but I hate when someone leaves me spam!
I love fall even though we don’t really have seasons in San Diego. I hate being hot, which again isn’t always an option in the summer.
If I were British I would be called a magpie because I love glittery bits of this and that and I am thrilled to be in such amazing company... thanks for thinking I was even worthy!

I'm Lisa and a scrapaholic with way too much stuff, so working with Scrap Your Crap helps me feel a little less guilty about all the crap that I have! I quit the corporate world of banking about 4 years ago and my brain needed something to do, I discovered scrapbooking and it became an obsession. I have to scrap just like I had to go to work. I married my soulmate 5 years ago and finally realized being married wasn't a bad thing after all! I have two daughters 19 and 20. I am an animal lover and I have rescued 1 dog and 3 cats. That's enough about me, my blog will tell you more, I am so excited to be working with the girls here and can't wait to get started...so I'm off to scrap my crap!

and in honor of our new crap scrappers we are going to give away a RAK...yep sure are...BUT we are not giving you more stuff to hoard...that would defeat the purpose of this whole challenge blog right? ...so instead the fabulous Liz is going to give away a new blog banner to one of you lucky girls that participate. Drawing will be random using the random number generator. Got to love that thing!! Good luck and let's keep scrapping the crap and using the dusty tools.

Challenge #23: PAINTball Fight!

Good morning girls. This week we want you to get in touch with your inner Picasso.
We want you to pull out those paints and sling them around like crazy women. Or you can do like me and just brush them on and act like you are sane ;) You must use at least 3 different colors on your layout, project or card.

Please make sure that you post a comment with the link to your project in the comments section of the blog or add it directly to the slide.
I can't wait to see all the paint being slung around!

Queen Michele's

I used Suede spray paint with the Heidi Swapp mask. I also used texture medium and acrylic paint for the flowers. I used the treehouse kit from Noel Mingon and the book paper is from the Getaway kit from her as well.

Greta's:

Thanks for playing along with us each week. I feel a give-a-way coming soon... ;)
and if you haven't checked out the jammed packed kits from Noel, you really should. You definitly get bang for your buck and they are always packed to the gills.

You can see her kits here.

Queen of the Crap: Michele Kovack

We want to extend a huge thank you to Sasha for the last two weeks of awesome challenges! This week we bring you a new queen for the next 2 challenges please welcome:

Name: Michele Kovack

Blog Address(if you have one):
Thoughts of Cardmaking Scrapbooker!

Crafts you dabble in: I love photography, cardmaking, scrapbooking. If there were more hours in the day, I would love to make jewelry! But my son already says I neglect he and my daughter to scrapbook. Can you imagine if I made jewelry too?

Favorite color(s): yellow (My scrap room is yellow)

Do you have a room of crap, a closet of crap or a shelf of crap? An entire room of crap! Hubby was kind enough to set up our spare room for me.

What supply to you have the most of? PAPER!!!!

What supply do you hoard the most? Vintage lace. I buy it off e-bay, garage sales, flea markets, etc.

What brand do you use the most? Making Memories. They are versatile! They have papers in the fun, funky and vintage!!

What brand do you own the most of but use the least? Wild Asparagus. I went through the phase of buying all of their paper because it all coordinated and it had a sort of vintage look to it. Why I don't use it more? I have no idea, except that there is always new stuff coming out!

Keep your scraps or throw them away? Usually throw them away, because my room already looks like a tornado ripped through it!

Organized or perfectly chaotic? Definitely chaotic! Everything has a spot, but while I am creating I pull EVERYTHING out!

Crafting motto? Craft or go insane!

Create with friends or alone? Usually alone, but sometimes I do get together with friends.

What supply do you need a challenge for so that you will use it up? Foam stamps and masks.

Please check back for Michele's first challenge later this week.
Hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July!
